I’m Dawn K. Gibson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Inclusive and Unconventional Psychotherapist. I’m the creator and facilitator of Teens Rising Empowerment Programs® which is an inclusive program that empowers teens to empower themselves in a safe and inclusive space.
I offer in-person psychotherapy to teens, young women, and parents, plus parent support in Fort Collins, CO. I offer virtual sessions to clients across Colorado and Texas.
I’m currently accepting private pay clients, so please reach out for a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit for one another.

I specialize in supporting LGBTQIA+ teens and ALL teen girls as they navigate feelings of isolation, anxiety, and fear of judgment, helping them confidently embrace their uniqueness and individuality within mainstream society.

In a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space, I guide you through healing complex trauma, managing anxiety, and releasing burdens of guilt, shame, and self-blame. My approach fosters self-assurance and strengthens your connections with yourself, your loved ones, and your friends.

Together, we work to cultivate self-acceptance, confidence, empowerment, and trust, empowering you to live authentically. By embracing your true identity and personal values, you can thrive as an individual, in your relationships, and within your community–ultimately creating a life that feels genuinely right for YOU.

I’ve worked with diverse populations of children, teens, and adults in various settings over the past 25 years. My passion for helping teens led me to create and facilitate the Teens Rising Empowerment Programs®.
The programs focus on the whole person and help teens feel more socially confident, self-confident, self-accepting, self-trusting, and connected. In addition, the programs have helped teens improve their relationships with their bodies and peers, shift unwanted behavioral patterns, and begin to heal, grow, and embody self-compassion.

If groups aren’t your teen’s “thing,” and they still want support, I help anxious and self-critical teenagers and young women gain self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-trust, improve their relationships with their bodies, calm their minds, and shift unwanted or toxic behavioral patterns, so they feel empowered to live their lives authentically and unapologetically.
I work with LGBTQIA+ teens and all teen girls ages 13+.
